DESIGN SOLUTIONS is a studio offering one-of-a-kind home and office design for new construction, remodeling, renovation, additions, and color & materials selection.

While working in the corporate world, Mary began to design projects for friends. Then while completing a professional degree in architecture, she began DESIGN SOLUTIONS. She now has completed work in eight states, working from her studio in Wilbraham, MA.

• First we worked together to select a property.
  
  
• We sited the house to take advantage of near and far views. The NY Reservoir is visible from the back in winter. From the front, where the lot slopes upward to the street, all plants are native and the landscape will be natural. Cultivated gardens fill in and around stone work near the house. We saved all major trees and large boulders and took care to use native stones in exterior patios and walls and high traffic floors and chimney.
  
  
• This client wanted to stay in this home as long as possible. Therefore we designed a functional and beautiful home for current and retirement needs. The master suite and all public functions are located on the first floor with all floor materials level and all doors wide enough to accommodate a wheel chair or other mobility aids. Every choice of materials, layout, etc., was planned by designer and clients working together.
